If you’d rather whiten at home, no problem! Philips Zoom! features a take-home option to gently whiten your teeth over time.

After an initial consultation with us, we’ll send you home with custom-fitted trays for you to use in the comfort of your home. Depending on the concentration and wear-time as directed by us, you can expect to see a brighter, whiter smile in about one to two weeks.

WHITENING Post-Operative Care Instructions

Congratulations on your whiter smile! The next 48 hours are important in maximizing your whitening results for a long lasting, bright and healthy smile.
Food and drinks to avoid for the next 48 hours, dark staining substance should be avoided.

  • Berries
  • Mustard
  • Cola
  • Ketchup
  • Soy Sauce
  • Red Sauces
  • Tobacco Products
  • Red Wine
  • Coffee
  • Tea

If your daily homecare involves the use of Chlorohexidine, please wait 48 hours before continuing the
usage of this product.

Additional ways to maintain your sparkling Smile

  • Avoid staining related habits ex: smoking, wine, coffee
  • Continue good oral hygiene and stay current on your regular dental appointments.
  • Practice good oral hygiene including through tooth brushing and flossing to remove debris from between the teeth and tongue cleaning.

Pre – Operative Whitening Instructions

  • Whitening is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women.
  • For the week prior to whitening, patients are advised to use desensitizing toothpaste and take ibuprophen the day of their appointment to help reduce the possibility of any discomfort.

Post – Operative Sensitivity

  • Sensitivity, such as sharp “zings” and/or minor throbbing and/or thermal sensitivity IS EXPECTED and considered normal 24 to 48 hours after Whitening
  • Place the relief gel using a Q-tip; apply a very small amount of gel to the affected area to help mitigate the sensitivity.
  • Take over the counter pain relievers such as Advil, Motrin or Tylenol.
  • Brush with a non-whitening sensitivity toothpaste such as Clinpro 5000 or Sensodyne.
